U.S. DOJ statistics on qui tam lawsuits and other False Claims Act cases
(including whistleblower rewards)

Qui tam lawsuits brought under the False Claims Act for fraud against the federal government have returned more than $15 billion to the government since Congress amended the False Claims Act in 1986, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. Whistleblower cases brought by Phillips & Cohen LLP and its attorneys have returned more than $5.3 billion. We have much more experience and far more success representing whistleblowers in qui tam cases than any other law firm.

Recoveries resulting from all qui tam and non-qui tam cases brought under the False Claims Act from 1986 to 2009 total $24.1 billion. Whistleblower rewards for qui tam cases exceed $2.5 billion.
