Qui tam lawsuits brought under the False Claims Act for fraud against the federal government have returned more than $14 billion to the government since Congress amended the False Claims Act in 1986, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. Whistleblower cases brought by Phillips & Cohen LLP and its attorneys have returned more than $3.4 billion.
