WASHINGTON, DC – The National Law Journal has announced that Phillips & Cohen LLP is one of only 15 firms nationwide that have achieved the honor of being inducted into the publication’s newly created “Plaintiffs’ Hot List Hall of Fame.”
The firms that were chosen have made the annual “Plaintiffs’ Hot List” five or more times since 2003. Phillips & Cohen made the list in 2004, 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2012 for its work representing whistleblowers.
For the elite annual list, the National Law Journal said, “We looked for firms that scored at least one significant plaintiffs’ win in each calendar year, and that possessed an impressive track record of wins within the previous three to five years. We also conducted our own extensive research through court files, news reports and discussions with co- and opposing counsel before settling upon the winners each year.”
The National Law Journal held a ceremony in Washington on Wednesday to present the inductees with awards.
“We consider the award to be a tribute to the firm’s whistleblower clients, who have helped the government recover billions of dollars while at the same time have protected patients, consumers and investors by bravely exposing fraud and corruption,” the law firm said in a statement.
